Freezer Warehouse Janitor

Qualifications

Must be willing to be moved to other areas as needed, must be willing to stand for 12 hours a day on hard floors in a cold or freezing environment with a temperature range of -10 to +30. must be willing to stand, walk, push, stretch, bench and climb. and carry up to 90 lb cases at a time when necessary
  • Previous Janitorial Experience Preferred
  • Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
  • May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.
  • May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed.
  • Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening if external.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for general housekeeping in the warehouse area while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson Policies and Procedures.
  • General Cleaning Duties
  • Sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash, cleaning of glass/windows/doors/sinks/faucets/stainless/stall walls/doors, restocking paper products and chemicals, maintaining cleanliness of all assigned areas in a set daily routine and in a timely manner.
  • Safe use of chemicals and any other assigned tasks on a daily check sheet or by the supervisor.
  • At certain times, other job duties may be part of the routine.
  • Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.

Environment
  • Will spend most of the time in the warehouse.
  • May be exposed to inclement weather when working outdoors.
  • May be exposed to extreme temperatures when working outdoors or in the warehouse (-10 to 30 degrees)
  • Team members will furnish their own boots and must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles. (Composite toe preferred)
  • Standing or walking up to 100% of the time\

Starting pay rate:
  • $20.50/hr
  • Candidates may be eligible for Attendance incentive and/or Shift premium, depending on shift placement.

Currently hiring for: D shift:

**Shift availability is determined by the business need at the time of offer**

D shift: ($1.50 attendance incentive and 0.50 cent shift premium)
  • Wednesday; 12am to 6:15am
  • Thursday to Saturday; 6pm to 6:15am

*This location is not considering prior Tyson Team members at this time.
