Job Description
The Iola Register publishes five days a week. We are the only daily newspaper in Allen County. We are family-owned, going on five generations.
We are proud of our product and its role in the community. For the last four years we have won the Kansas Newspaper Association's Sweepstakes Award for our news and advertising promotions.
This position is responsible for promoting local businesses and industries by integrating them into the Register's print and online services. In addition to our print publication, we also offer a full set of digital marketing solutions including SEO, SEM, Email, Targeted Online, and Social Media Marketing programs designed to help our clients grow their business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sell new business advertising (print & online), service existing accounts, and participate in sales initiatives.
- Visit potential new business customers to discuss the advantages, cost, and experience in advertising in all Iola Register products.
- Obtain contract agreements for advertising space at specified costs.
- Maintain communication with current and prospective customers including visits and calls.
- Review credit and contract reports for the purpose of knowing the status of accounts.
- Attend weekly sales meetings.
- Maintain files and accurate record keeping.
