Job Description

FIX IT UP Maintenance Technician at Meadowlark in Manhattan, Kan.   Meadowlark is searching for an energetic, hard-working and flexible individual to join the Environmental Services team at Meadowlark, a local not-for-profit organization focused on enhancing senior lifestyles. Maintenance Technicians at Meadowlark maintain facility equipment in an efficient manner, including preventative and seasonal maintenance on a large campus.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair appliances and participate in weekend on-call rotations.
• Support the planning and implementation of maintenance operations across grounds, buildings, and equipment.
• Maintain heating and cooling systems, inspecting for wear, leaks, and functionality—especially during seasonal transitions.
• Apply HVAC knowledge (Mechanical Journeyman License and EPA 608 certification preferred).
• Inspect and test fire alarms and emergency systems; maintain accurate records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering positive relationships with residents.

Employees at Meadowlark work closely with residents and create lasting relationships all while maintaining a safe environment for those we serve. The Maintenance Technician should have general maintenance skills and some experience in light plumbing, electrical, and wall patching. A high-quality approach to customer service is required.
