Distinguishing Features of Work This is public contact work that is unique to the law enforcement and/or Municipal Court environment. Work is directed by a supervisor and is performed independently, within the guidelines established by policies and procedures.

The days and hours for this position: Monday - Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm Bargaining Unit: Service Employee's International (SEIU)

Examples of Work Performed

Maintain Order in the courts, under the judge’s direction. Run paperwork from courtrooms to the Probation Office. May assist in transporting individuals committed out of Municipal Court to jail. May assist in staging prisoners serving in the Sedgwick County jail for Municipal Court video court arraignments. Fingerprints and photographs A and B misdemeanor offenders. Completes KBI (Kansas Bureau of Investigations) information on fingerprint cards.

May assist in completing arrest reports and booking on individuals committed to jail out of Municipal Court. Conducts alcohol tests on individuals appearing in the Municipal Court and records test results. Conducts Urinalysis Test on individuals appearing in the Municipal Court. Searches and inventories property of individuals committed to jail. May testify in court as a witness. These examples are not intended to be all inclusive. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.
