We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Program Leader to lead a team of Project Managers within the Transportation Management Software (TMS) industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in program and project management, along with a deep understanding of transportation and logistics processes. As a Program Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of TMS projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving optimal customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do
Program Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, providing guidance, support, and oversight throughout the project lifecycle. Define and implement program management best practices, ensuring consistency and alignment across projects. Foster a collaborative and results driven team environment that promotes professional growth utilizing Principle Based Management.
Strategic Alignment: Align TMS projects with the organization's strategic goals and ensure they contribute to overall business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define program and project requirements, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Program Planning and Oversight: Develop comprehensive program plans, outlining scope, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables for each TMS project. Provide guidance and oversight to Project Managers to ensure effective execution and adherence to project plans.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges across projects, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. Monitor progress and intervene as necessary to address issues that may impact project outcomes.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross functional teams, ensuring seamless execution of projects and programs. Foster a collaborative team environment to optimize performance and results.
Reporting and Communication: Prepare comprehensive performance reports and presentations to communicate program outcomes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience in leading projects and/or programs in a project management focused role
Experience successfully delivering software projects and programs on time and in budget
Experience building strong relationships with stakeholders and understanding a business's needs and pain points that are resolved with technology
Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience utilizing project and program management tools and methodologies
Experience creating new project and program managements processes and governance
Experience influencing without authority and guiding cross-functional teams
What Will Put You Ahead
Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain operations, and transportation processes.
In-depth understanding of transportation management processes and software solutions.
PMP/I certification
Experience leading Project Managers
Experience creating a Project Management Office
