Job Description
The City of McCune is accepting applications for the positions of City Superintendent. Responsibilities include but are not limited to minimal street maintenance & repair, water system maintenance, water meter reading, sewer system maintenance, and mowing city cemetery along with other city properties. This is a full time position. Some of the requirements for applicants are as followed: • High School diploma or equivalent • Must maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable by City's carrier. • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical • Must progressively acquire Class I wastewater Operator certificate • Must progressively acquire a Small System Operator certificate for the water supply system. • Ability to operate a backhoe and other related equipment • Ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships with other employees, City officials, businesses, and the public. • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to work under limited supervision and make responsible decisions • Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally in difficult or stressful situations.
