Job Description
Position Summary: The Utility Operator will primarily operate and maintain plant fork lifts, heavy,
motorized equipment used in earth moving type operations in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive and operate plant forklifts, front-end loaders, excavators, off-road dump trucks, and rental
equipment to include man lifts and boom trucks.
Load/unload bulk dump truck trailers, pneumatic truck trailers, Gondola railroad cars and
pneumatic railroad cars.
Excavate and pile raw materials from a water filled impound.
Perform preventive maintenance on both mobile and fixed process equipment as required
including fluid and filter changes and parts lubrication.
Operate and maintain dryer, screeners, elevators, conveyors, pumps, and other process
equipment.
Complete weekly, monthly, and other periodic safety inspections.
Assist with disassembling and reassembling screeners/conveyors.
Assist in performing preventative, routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on all plant
process equipment, buildings, and grounds.
