Job Description
Source products with factories in Asian countries; prepare and analyze quote sheets. Research and reach out to factories in China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and other Asian countries to source specified products. Create vendor files. Organize and analyze quote sheets from vendors to determine the best and most competitive products and vendors. Present each vendor and product to the sales team for further discussion. Negotiate prices, discount terms, or transportation arrangements with suppliers. Review the selected product specifications and qualifications, delivery method and time frame, warehouse capabilities, payment terms and cost related conditions. Examine, select, or purchase merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Management, or related field. 6 months experience in product market research in the merchandise or trade industry. Familiar with the supply market in one of the following countries: China, Vietnam, or Sri Lanka.
