About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a Systems and Security (SECOPS) Engineer – Federal Cloud to play a critical role in the operation and expansion of our government services and cloud based infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include the following:
Engineering, implementing and validating security measures for the protection of both cloud computing and hybrid data center environments.
Designing and implementing computer security architecture and developing detailed cyber security designs and tools.
Participate in architecture and design reviews to mitigate security and privacy risks Create hardening standards for our infrastructure to minimize attack vectors
You will work cross-functionally with your peers in the engineering organization as well as peers in the compliance, and sales teams. We are a remote first company so you will bring your excellent verbal and written communication skills to bear when you are working with your engineering teams and cross functional teams across the globe.
This role will require the candidate to periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint check(s) consistent with government customer requirements.
What You'll Need:
Required:
Applicable experience in a security role implementing and supporting security systems in heterogeneous cloud environments, preferably Amazon Web Services
Experience with IdP and IAM solutions such as AppGate, GoogleID, Keycloak
Skillsets with IoS, PowerDNS, Kubernetes
Scripting capabilities using shell, Python, Perl, Ruby, or some other automation system
Protocol knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, applied Cryptography, others
Excellent oral and written communication skills
U.S. citizenship and ability to perform work on U.S. soil
Preferred:
Experience working with DNSSec
Solid design and problem-solving skills with demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security and performance
