Position Summary / Career Interest:The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning and facilitating group recreation events to our patients. This position will schedule and lead activities to help fill leisure time, so patients learn about a variety of ways to fill leisure time while they are our patients and continue the practice when they are discharged from our care.

Responsibilities:
Creates the recreation schedule each week providing variety and ensures patients are learning and engaged with activities.
Facilitates the activity events scheduled.
Collects feedback from patients on activities to enhance the schedule and implementation of different activities.
Assists the unit with coverage, supervising the unit in order to assist with staff breaks and lunches.
Perform administrative tasks as tracking attendance of programs, calendar creation and other like reporting.
Responsible for activity setup and cleanup before and after activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required:
High School Diploma
Demonstrates good rapport with patients and professionalism with other professionals, and visitors.
Demonstrates ability to provide care/service safely and efficiently for the care of each patient.
Basic Microsoft Office.

Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Activity Therapy-related field (i.e., Recreation, Music, Art)
2 years of experience in providing therapeutic activities to patients, behavioral health.
