Job Description
Transportation Project Manager
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Garver is seeking aMunicipal Project Managerto complement our reputable staff and join our growing Transportation Team in Overland Park, Kansas to continue the tradition of providing reputable service to our clients.
Responsibilities in this position will include:
Assisting in marketing, selling, and procuring municipal roadway design projects and building the Garver practice in Metropolitan Kansas City and other large municipalities in Missouri.
Managing assigned municipal roadway design projects.
Assisting in the design and creation of construction documents on a wide variety of municipal transportation projects.
Different roadway design components include typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage and hydraulic analysis, erosion control plans, safety features and maintenance of traffic plans.
Assignments will also involve tasks associated with producing a set of construction documents including drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
PE license
8 years'of related experience
Strong communication skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
Preferred Skills
Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on Municipal transportation projects in Metropolitan Kansas City, and preferably municipalities in Johnson County, Kansas.
Knowledge in project scheduling, scoping, invoicing, budgeting, and client management.
Experience with Microstation, Civil 3D and or Geopak InRoads
