We are searching for an energetic engineer and technical expert to play a key role in our Commercial team. In this Principal Applications Engineer role, you will collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team as a key technical advisor, aligning customer and market application needs with GRMT's motion technology capabilities. In addition, you will contribute to long-term technology and market growth strategies.
What You Will Do In Your Role

Create value for customers and Genesis while modeling the company's Guiding Principles: Integrity, Stewardship & Compliance, Principled Entrepreneurship, Transformation, Knowledge, Humility, Respect, and Self Actualization
Develop and implement a multi-year Applications Engineering capabilities development plan to establish best-in-class capability
Use subject matter expertise of the entire motion technology stack, Genesis' portfolio of actuation solutions, and customer application requirements to train, mentor, guide, and share knowledge with customers, employees, and stakeholders across Koch
Partner with Product Development and R&D teams to investigate and pursue new technology and product families based on intimate knowledge of industry trends and future needs
Work with Product Management to ensure GRMT's technology roadmap is addressing the Voice of the Customer and their present and future needs
Work closely with customers and internal cross-functional teams during the customer product selection and evaluation process (pre-sales applications engineering) to ensure we recommend and deliver compelling solutions to our customers
Demonstrate expediency and expertise in supporting customer needs during the Customer Evaluation Unit evaluation process
Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical audience globally
Contribute to long-term technology and market growth strategies
Expand the GRMT technical library by preparing and presenting white papers and adding application and product notes to proactively address customers questions and needs
Contribute to proposal and presentation development to support customer meetings
Attend trade shows and other industry events

The Experience You Will BringRequirements:

Experience in motion control, robotics, or industrial automation
Experience with servo motors, servo drives, encoders, and motion controllers
Experience in a technical or people leadership capacity
Travel to attend trade shows and other industry events, including international travel; up to 25% of the time

What Will Put You Ahead

15+ years of motion technology industry experience with subject matter expertise of the overall motion technology stack (motors, gears, drives, controllers, encoders, etc.)
Experience as an applications, sales, or pre-sales engineer, or similar customer-facing experience in a highly technical environment
Experience with direct drive servo motors
Experience with machine and equipment design in robotics, automation, semiconductor equipment, medical equipment, packaging... For full info follow application link.
