*Responsibilities: *
This position operates computed tomography (CT) scanner to produce cross sectional radiographs of patient’s body for diagnosis purposes:
- Shift: Thursday 7a – 7p and Saturday 7p – 7a.
- Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table, using supportive devices to obtain precise patient position and following protocols specified by the Radiologist
- Administers contrast media orally or assists physician in intravenous administration
- Enters data such as type of scan requested, slice thickness, scan time, and other technical data into computer, using knowledge of radiographic technology and computed tomography
- Provides care for birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology. Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits every two years.
- ARRT-CT certification or registry-eligible required within 6 months of hire. Must hold a current license with the Kansas board of healing arts. American Heart Association BLS required upon hire.
- Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning
