Managing Consultants are responsible for managing projects from cultivation to completion, driving impactful and successful results for clients. This includes supporting the development of the strategy based on the specific client needs and managing project teams to implement the solution. In this role, you will oversee the activities of the designated project team and support the day-to-day management of the client relationship. You will effectively develop strategic solutions, manage work plans, staffing, deadlines and budgets for multiple projects simultaneously. Your work products are high-quality and client-ready. In this visible role, you will lead team meetings and guide, manage, and coach staff consultants, providing constructive feedback on project participation and overall career development. You will collaborate with Associate Directors, Directors and Partners, keeping them abreast of project progress and important developments. As a Managing Consultant, you will support sales initiatives and function as a project manager.

We are currently seeking a Managing Consultant with prior healthcare strategy consulting experience to participate in a variety ambulatory network planning, strategic, financial and operational planning projects.
•Manage significant client engagements and day-to-day relationships
•Oversee, mentor and develop senior consultants and analysts
•Execute client deliverables, including synthesizing the strategic, financial and operational implications of analyses
•Assist where necessary with data acquisition, integration and analysis to support a wide range of payer and provider analytics including financial analysis, clinical and operational benchmarking
•Regularly present results and updates to clients, effectively communicating strategies and tactics through verbal and written forms to create buy-in and support.
•Proactively initiate and develop industry and market-based analysis of healthcare trends, competitor threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance trends.
•Project focus would be diverse but requires expertise in master facility planning, ambulatory network planning and/or real estate advisory expertise.
•Strategic and Clinical Service Line Planning: Lead teams in data driven design of long-term healthcare market strategy, providing value and innovative solutions for clinical service line and capital strategies
•Master Plan and Facilities Planning Support: Provide clinical and operational expertise, user insight, and other value-added capabilities to master plan, facility planning, and design projects
•Medical/Functional Planning: Develop a comprehensive understanding of client program functional and space requirements and standards and policies for completion. Lead user groups (heads of departments, specialists, etc.) to collect program needs for healthcare facilities and successfully transfer needs to functional programming and architectural design team to assist with building healthcare facilities of the future.
•Direct a team to identify and mitigate projects risks around scope, schedule, and quality, effectively escalating to engagement leadership
•Develop strategies to solve complex clinical, technical, and operational strategies for our healthcare clients
•Actively support business development activities to help identify, research, and pursue opportunities for new / existing clients
•Provide detailed fact finding, research, and analysis to identify and recommend enhancements to continuously improve client operations
•Assess health industry trends to inform clients on leading practices and drive continued transformation efforts
•Develop transformation strategies to inform client’s long-range strategic planning efforts
+ Minimum Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree strongly preferred
+ 5+ years of previous work experience in a healthcare consulting firm or a combination of provider side healthcare industry and consulting experience
+ Demonstrated experience with healthcare provider strategy, clinical service planning and/or healthcare facilities planning
+ Experience conducting research and analysis required to support the master planning process, including utilization forecasts, capacity analysis and in-migration/outmigration studies
+ Solid background in broad-based provider financial modeling
+ Demonstrated passion for improving healthcare
+ Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage a team and prioritize resources and time effectively
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business, including experience writing reports and client/public-facing documents as well as communicating complex concepts effectively through Microsoft PowerPoint
+ Comfort with quantitative analysis in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau/PowerBI, and R and ability to translate analysis findings
+ Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and develop successful professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
+ Ability to create clear and compelling presentations for clients on complex topics
+ Capacity to manage multiple work streams, meet deadlines and drive resultsPreferred:
+ Direct experience with data analytics
+ Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs or Military Health
+ Federal and/or commercial consulting experience
