Job Description

Plant Manager is on the front-line of the business, overseeing production, tracking product yields, and making necessary adjustments. Ensuring that safety and SQF Quality standards are met throughout all steps of the manufacturing process.

Primary Job Functions:

  • This position is responsible for planning, leading, guiding, directing, and overseeing staff.
  • Plant Manager is accountable for the high quality of all products produced, the profitability of the facility, the safety of employees, security of the facility, budget planning, management and control, human resource utilization and treatment, and the development of a total employee team.
  • Responsible that plant labor, raw material, yields; supplies, waste and human resources are managed in the most effective manner, resulting in a positive contribution to the bottom line of the company PL.

Responsibilities:

Yield Labor

  • Establishes achievable goals and follows up all progress; positive or negative.
  • Trains and provides coaching to supervisors/management to recognize opportunities and realize their impact on the operation.
  • Tracks progress of yields, labor, and all related expenses.
  • Identifies opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Formulates or approves short- and long-term operating objectives in areas such as cost reduction, quality improvement, new product development and/or integration as undertaken at the plant level.

Budget

  • Establishes accurate fixed and capital budgets for annual planning purposes.
  • Works to ensure operation is functioning to cost and budget so all aspects of the operation contribute to the total PL.

Safety Quality

  • Ensures efficient and profitable operations by conformation to specifications and procedures.

Training

  • Trains, manages, and directs all support staff activities to include HR/Safety, Food Safety/QA, Accounting, Maintenance and Production supervision.
  • Enables plant to ensure all aspects of the operation are consistent and operates within Bev-Hub standards.
  • Facilitates a profitable operation that produces safe quality products efficiently.

Employee Relations

  • Ensures approachability and support to all levels of employees. Maintains accurate and open communication at all times.
  • Establishes and maintains favorable plant company community relationships through active participation in community affairs.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the specified plant, which includes all managers, supervisors, office workers, and production employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Plant Management experience or related jobs
  • Demonstrates the ability to drive improvements
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate issues in a timely manner
  • Expert attention to detail
  • Must always wear personal protective equipment
  • Participates actively in facility safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions
  • Ability to work a schedule of (5) full 8-hour workdays per week, with the flexibility to occasionally work nights and weekends as needed
