Instructional Program (CIP)
The Construction Green-Up Curriculum Has The Following Modules or Skill Areas:
Occupational Safety and Health certification (OSHA 10); Lead Renovator, Repair and Painting certification (Lead RRP); Forklift Operation certification; Deconstruction and Salvageable Material Training; Asbestos Abatement; Environmental Remediation; HAZWOPER certification; Business and Entrepreneurship Workshop; and Essential Employability Skills (EES) and Career Placement.
The training program is an 8 week program.
Recruitment – YWCA, YouthBuild, OAI, Inc. Bridging the Gap, Wyandotte Economic Development Council, and Metropolitan Energy Center and their Minority Worker Training.
Training – CleanEdison Inc., Heartland Habitat, Unified Government, Lafarge North America, Kansas Small Business Development Center, The Builder’s Association, and EAC Inc.
Placement – Small Step Energy, Heartland Habitat Restore, Greenability Magazine, Employment Resource Network, KCKCC Career Center, Regional Prevention Center of Wyandotte, and Bridging the Gap
