Job Description

GeroPsych, Inc, and Key Rehabilitation joined forces to offer an integrated, holistic treatment for geriatric clients throughout KS. We are currently working with multiple Long Term Care Facilities in and around Winfield, Ark City, and Douglass to provide psychology services to the elders.

We are seeking a licensed Doctorate level psychologist with an interest in working with the current “greatest generation” as well as the coming flood of aging baby boomers. We have had a long-term relationship with The Eden Alternative, the leader in innovation in eldercare. The services are intended to promote growth and a re-kindling of a sense of purpose, not “waiting to die”. Our philosophy is that Elderhood is the culmination of a life of learning and experience, not a period of decline and despair.

Key Rehab is a privately owned contract therapy company specializing in providing quality healthcare services to elders in rural and urban areas. Key has been an active force in the Midwest since 1997 and is present in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. With over 700 employees, Key is able to provide competitive rates and benefits. Full time benefits begin at 30 hours per week and include Medical, Life and Dental, Short and Long Term Disabilities, up to 160 hours off during the first year for Sick, Vacation, and Holiday time. Key offers a Bundled Professional Benefit Package to use for Continuing Education tuition, licensure fees, and association dues in addition to FREE Continuing Education classes offered throughout the year for Key employees. Visit us on the web at www.keyrehab.com.

At Key Rehab, it’s all about people. It’s about providing compassionate and responsive patient care that is results oriented. It’s also about our employees and providing needed flexibility and comprehensive benefits in today’s challenging healthcare climate. We’re large enough to offer competitive pay rates and benefits, yet small enough that we get to know you on an individual basis. Are you ready to UNLOCK YOUR POTENTIAL?

We look forward to hearing from you!

We have part time positions available, even “very part time” for a few hours a week, working in the skilled nursing, long term care, and assisted living setting with a skilled social worker Clinical Assistant. This person assists the psychologist in focusing on productive interventions by freeing them from paperwork and chart review. This job will involve diagnostic interviewing and follow-up psychotherapy with elders who have psychiatric diagnoses and adjustment issues.

This position entails very little take home work, on- call, etc. Geriatric psychology is a significant growth area as the baby boomers “come of age”. The work is unusually rewarding, both personally and professionally. We will provide testing equipment, necessary training, billing services, and a positive work environment that encourages a balanced lifestyle. A full benefits package is available if desired.

Minimum qualifications:

+ Must be a Doctorate level Psychologist with an active state license to practice as a Psychologist (or eligibility for a license)

+ Must perform job responsibilities in accordance with Key Rehab’s Code of Ethical Conduct and follow state and federal guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Good organizational and problem solving skills

+ Flexibility and team work

+ Exceptional oral and written communication

+ Experience with the geriatric population

+ Understanding of current Medicare billing regulations
