Architect – Mission Critical

GBA’s Mission Critical group is looking for a highly motivated architect to join us in our Lenexa, Kansas headquarters. This individual will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment on new and/or renovation projects from start to finish, seeing every phase of the project. This group specializes in the Mission Critical industry and serves many of the top Information Technology companies as an integrated team of architects and engineers working on the design of data center, telecommunications, and industrial facilities.

Our projects require creativity to address highly functional and complicated space planning and design. If you enjoy thinking outside the box, defining new innovative ways to address problematic spaces, this might just be the position for you.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Project Architects and Project Engineers to provide innovative design solutions to projects during all phases of design
Interface with clients offering project management support
Review of shop drawings and RFI’s
Verification of permitting, planning, and zoning requirements
Existing facility evaluations and assessments
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an NAAB-accredited Architecture program
Ability to demonstrate good design capabilities
Licensed Architect or working towards becoming a Licensed Architect is preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of related experience is required
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Office, and Bluebeam
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
