Job Description

POSITION TYPE: Part-time, temporary
The Position: The Accounting/General Office Clerk must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational abilities and be able to take the lead in executing work on-time and with a quality outcome.
This is a temporary, part-time position. Estimated 15-20 hours per week, flexible hours. Approximate duration of 12 weeks.
Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties:
• Record deposits from various sources in accounting system
• Reconcile bank activity in accounting system
• Call customers to inquire about late payments
• Answer accounting phone number to help with customer calls
• Respond to customer invoice inquiries
• Call customers to update declined payment information
• Update spreadsheets with contract information and then file the contract digitally
• Reconcile company credit card receipts to statements
• Other assigned accounting tasks as skill set allows
General Office Duties, as needed:
• Miscellaneous office support for various departments
• Customer Support line back-up
• Order office and building supplies
• Communicate and assist in the organization of office meetings
• Coordinate and book travel arrangements
• Building maintenance coordination
Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Preference given to applicants with accounts receivable or general accounting experience
• College accounting coursework also preferred in addition to (or in lieu of) work experience
• Previous office admin experience a plus
