Employees will need to monitor health of animals daily during this period. Gather, move, and treat animals. Make and remove electric fence as the cows need to be moved to other corn fields. Haul water and break ice daily. Haul in feed for the lock up period of calving. Fix and maintain facilities, fences, farmyard, and farm buildings. Clean pens and haul manure. Employees will need to check on cows hourly during calving.
Family housing not available. Housing will be clean & meet applicable Fed, State and local Housing Standards. Workers must maintain neat & clean housing. Reasonable repair cost of damage, other than normal wear and tear will be deducted from the earnings. Housing/utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to their place of residence the same day. If both male & female workers are hired: separate toilet, bathing and sleeping rooms will be provided
The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries and/or other incidentals.
Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable,centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day. Daily transportation at no cost to workers is available to workers who do not reside in employer-provided housing from centralized pick-up points.
