The Black & Veatch Finance Internship Program is designed to provide the following to students:
+ Clear learning objectives and goals.
+ Meaningful experience of a working environment through daily responsibilities and challenging projects.
+ Introduction to Black & Veatch corporate culture and various financial tracks through Job Shadowing.
+ Feedback and Evaluations Intern works under close supervision of Finance supervisor.
+ May support financial analysis by providing requested information
+ May prepares basic financial reports
+ Identifies basic variances to plan . May support financial planning by providing requested information
Financial Tool and Model Development:
+ May work to gain basic level of enterprise-wide business systems knowledge to obtain and analyze basic data
+ Special projects as required
+ Individual contributor with no subordinates
3 accounting or finance courses completed preferred. Minimum 3 0 GPA preferred.
Preferred Technical Skills:
+ Microsoft Office Suite, Basic

Current enrollment in Accounting or Finance program. No experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Typical office environment, typical construction site environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electrical currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
