Headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, the company operates transportation plants in Salina, Kansas, Manchester, Iowa and industrial facilities in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Kansas City, Kansas, and Charlottesville, Virginia. Its manufacturing plants are located Kansas City, Missouri, and Lampeter, Pennsylvania. These locations produce a comprehensive portfolio of battery and energy storage systems and specialty applications for the Transportation, Network Power and Motive Power markets. Also served are industries such as agricultural, automotive, heavy-duty truck, marine, materials handling, military, mining, railroad, security, telecommunications, utility and uninterruptible power supply (UPS), among others.

Stryten Manufacturing is hiring for the Salina team! New employee orientations on a weekly basis. Orders are up and we need additional team members to meet our customer demands!

Production Workers fill Pasting, Assembly, Formation, Oxide Mill, Strip Casting and Expanded Metal positions in our production departments. Production Workers must work safely, produce high quality products in an efficient manner, and learn other positions on the line. We’re seeking people with positive attitudes, safety and quality orientations, and team-oriented spirit. The best candidates are dependable and take pride in their work. Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

The starting pay rate will be between $18.00-$20.00 per hour; skill and business need will determine pay.

Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours, and mandatory overtime may be required; weekend work is a part of all schedules.

A- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday (Days)
B- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday (Nights)
C- Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday (Days)
D- Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday (Nights)

Work with a multiple-person team in an area containing electrical powered machinery, torches, lead melting pots, conveyors, computers, and ventilation equipment to meet daily production targets
Follow safety and health regulations for the protection of self and fellow workers. Includes shower and shampoo at the end of each work shift.
Must learn and follow quality control specifications, maintain accurate and timely charts, forms, and other material control documents.
Recognize and record scrap during shift when required.
Perform basic preventive maintenance on machine if/as needed
Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 5s requirements.
Comply with safety and health regulations for the protection of self and fellow workers.
Follow Lean Manufacturing Procedures.
Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Will be exposed to lead (dust, fumes, and molten form) and other hazards.
