Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer ? Sensor Algorithms to join our Marine Software Engineering team in Olathe, KS.? Based at our headquarters, you will have the opportunity to develop software for cutting edge Marine technology.? Experience writing algorithms within the sensor fusion, control system and computer vision disciplines are desired for this recruitment.? If you are up for the challenge of developing code for the next generation of auto-piloting, navigation, and way-finding systems, this is the role for you!


Essential Functions:

  • Serves in a leadership capacity for carrying out software development in C, C++, or other selected languages for new products and/or applications?
  • May serve as a Lead Software Engineer for a complex software development project Designs and/or reviews architected modules and software systemssupporting new technology or improving capability/performance of existing functionality?
  • Balances quality, quantity and complexity in work output
  • May work with software vendors to integrate externally developed deliverables into project
  • Evaluates new technologies as they apply to existing functions
  • Participates in project leadership and/or program planning including providing technical input to product development plans and concept documents
  • Mentors and/or supervises to less experienced Software Engineers (1 & 2)?
  • Contributes to advanced technical research on new technologies?
  • Independently determines general approach and specific solutions to technical problems?
