TITLE:   Financial Analyst


LOCATION:  Newton, Kansas.


REPORTS TO: General Manager / Business Manager




Our Company requires a skilled, seasoned financial specialist to participate in restarting our aircraft manufacturing operation in Newton, Kansas.  The successful specialist may expect to advance to financial management.


Weatherly Aircraft Company is an American manufacturer of agricultural-aircraft, since 1976.  The product is the 620-B aircraft, designed for wheat agriculture.  The Company has recently relocated from California to the Wichita area, the aviation center of America as well as the center of our traditional market.  We are also migrating our production from a job-shop to a standard rate production-line. 

The Company has heretofore relied on QuickBooks software for General Accounting and upon JobBOSS and related proprietary applications for ERP services.  Restarting operations may require reconstituting or replacing the existing accounting system.


To assist the restart, the Company will hire a financial analyst to facilitate the implementation and to supervise the operation of a QuickBooks Premium [or equivalent] system.




  • Install and operate the Companys accounting and related information system(s) (General Accounting, ERP, Payroll, etc.).

  • Migrate existing data to the new system (accounting, ERP, Payroll, etc).

  • Startup new system components

  • Recommend a system maintenance program.





  • Basic accounting skills required.  The accounting skills will include general journal and ledger bookkeeping, payroll processing, inventory accounting and analyses, and basic financial reporting.

  • Computer business-application skills required.

  • Computer business-application skills that include use of in-house and cloud computer business application that typically include data entry, report generation, analyses, etc.




  • The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in business enterprise accounting, or related applications, preferably including a) operation of a computerized application within a business enterprise, b) routine data entry and report generation, and c) startup/implementation of a computer business application package.

  • The successful candidate will have worked in a manufacturing business, with interface among operating staff, and assisted management planning/budgeting.




The ideal candidate will be a positive self-starter, goal oriented, and able to work with minimum supervision.  The candidate will possess a professional demeanor, able to work with other team members, management executives, technical professionals, and suppliers.




  • BASE:    $42,000-$52,000..

  • BENEFITS:   Full, after 3 months.

  • PERFORMANCE REVIEW: Initial at 6-months, and then annually.

  • CAREER TRACK:  Financial Management.
