CDM Smith’s Kansas City office is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team!

You’ll be working with a dynamic team of industry leading engineers on a diverse portfolio of projects. In this role you will be assisting with the evaluation of and inspection of buildings, collecting data on sources of infiltration and inflow (I/I) for our client. Other tasks include:

Assist Crew Leader with performing evaluations and inspections of

private property to locate potential connections of infiltration and

inflow sources to the sewer system.

Collecting and recording data daily on iPads using GIS and

downloaded eForms.

Frequent interaction with the public and City staff.

Making phone calls and scheduling inspections.

Attend program training.

Work is 90% field work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic knowledge and familiarity of GIS

Ability to drive (required, not preferred)
