Job Description

Overview: Full time position available
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for petty cash, credit cards and support of activities in the accounting office including: data entry, filing, preparing new files and other functions as requested.

Essential Responsibilities:
•Maintain petty cash for MHASCK and Residential Care. Reconcile petty cash on a weekly basis. Pass out miscellaneous checks, passes, credit cards as needed.
•Coding and entering of daily A/P entries.
•Selection and print of A/P checks and EFT files weekly.
•Maintains excel workbooks needed for billing backup.
•Prepare daily check deposits for all corporations by remote using bank website: delivering of weekly cash deposits to banking institutions.
•Filing accounts payable, cash receipts, and others as required.
•Assist in weekly processing of payments when necessary.
•Assist Medical Billing staff as needed/requested.
•Serve as back-up for Front Desk Receptionist during absences.
•Prompt and regular attendance is required for this position.
•Cross-trains and assist with other Accounting Departmen functions as requested.
•Completes required timesheets, mileage sheets, expense sheets, and other agency required paperwork accurately and on time.

Position Requirements:
•High school diploma with a minimum of two years post high school education with relevant work experience.
•Preferred areas of experience include: Accounting experience, data entry, spreadsheet applications, and accounting systems software
•Intermediate Microsoft Office skills necessary, especially with Excel
•Must have strong organizational skills with attention to detail along with effective communication skills both verbally and written and the ability to develop and maintain rapport with consumers, constituents, and staff.
•Excellent customer service experience required
•Ability to work in a face paced and high volume A/P environment.
•Valid KS Driver’s license and access to personal vehicle
