Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Lead and direct all safety/housekeeping requirements
•Effectively resolve closed loop corrective action items
•Read and understand precision measuring tools
•Dimensionally inspect (less CMM) all parts produced in area of responsibility
•Coach and assist others to make complete and accurate set ups
•Make recommendations for revisions to set-up document
•Read programs and make minor changes (feeds & speeds) as required
•Direct and assist with complicated set ups
•Strive for continuous improvement
•Track the movements of parts through your area and communicate delivery to your internal customer
•Communicate scheduling requirements to crew
•Track attendance (absenteeism, vacation time, personal leave, etc.) of assigned personnel
•Monitor and take steps to reduce scrap to less than 2% per month in assigned area
•Monitor productivity of team and ensure that production meets requirements
•All other job duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management
•Working knowledge of a variety of customer specific assembly installation requirements
•Must be able to follow and comply with all written work instructions , both internal and customer related
•Have a working knowledge of sealants and their customer specific requirements
•Monitor and maintain all inventory levels in the area in relation to production requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, competency, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
•5+ years of CNC machining experience required; 2+ years Crew Chief experience preferred
•Current forklift certification preferred
•Ability to read and understand blue prints
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
•Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
•Sense of urgency
•Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines
•Acceptable attendance
•Positive attitude
•Willing to work overtime
•Team player
