Job Description

Summary:
Work with engineers, programmers, and other subject matter experts to develop 2D drawings for manufacturing and inspection purposes

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Download and organize customer engineering data
• Validate customer models vs. prints
• Create 2D bubble drawings from 3D models
• Create manufacturing shop aides
• Use required drafting and mechanical drawing skills, and knowledge of computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software
• Retrieve information from computer files and displays information on screen, utilizing specialized software
• Use software to zoom in, redesign, modify or edit drawing, and to transfer drawing from computer to hard copy
• Verify accuracy and completeness of drawings
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
• Accept and adapt easily to change
• Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement
• Operate job-related equipment with or without an accommodation

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned task satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, competency, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Three (3) years of related experience and/or training in the following areas preferred:
o CATIA v5 (UG experience a plus)
o Aerospace engineering drawing
o Aerospace process specification
o Generation of aerospace planning and internal drawings for manufacturing and inspection purposes
o Review of aerospace planning
o Computer experience that includes MS Office applications, MRP system, etc.
o CAD experience with 3D drawing review
o Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions
• Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, and perform work independently without being prompted
• Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and work within deadlines
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
