Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the controller is responsible for the data collection, analysis, department and program pro-formas, budget compilation, financial performance consolidation reimbursement projects, survey completion and special projects.
Responsible for integrating their departments services with the hospital primary functions. Provides orientation, inservice training and continuing education of all persons in the department. Continually assesses and improves departments performance and maintains appropriate quality control programs.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Accounting; Masters preferred
Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications:
Certification by State Board of Certified Public Accountants is
An employee in this classification must possess technical and professional
skills in accounting.
Extensive knowledge and experience with computer based financial
applications combined with a high level of technical expertise in personal computer applications.
Ability to interact with senior management as well as directors, supervisors and employees. This individual must possess analytical and problem s solving skills as well as the ability to direct the work of others.
Must have good written and oral communication skills.
Experience: 2-3 years in public accounting. 2-3 years in directly related experience in
healthcare industry
Management Experience: Preferred
