Job Description

The Remediation Engineer reporting to the Contamination Control Remediation Work Stream lead will execute quality, manufacturing, engineering, and validation compliance activities under direction of technical leadership at the McPherson site pharmaceutical manufacturing facility per the defined site Quality Improvement Plans. Activities may include development, coordination and execution of testing, change requests, protocols and document revisions as required meeting regulatory and cGMP requirements. The position will support new project development for site improvements including scheduling, project management and project support for new processes and facility enhancements. This position will have oversight of key capital and regulatory commitment projects for the site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply technical knowledge of Engineering and Operations along with planning and project management skills to execute and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Support project objectives through document reviews, project oversight, developing project schedules and supporting operations and validation activities to ensure project effectiveness for commercial operations.
  • Coordinate and communicate progress on scheduled projects and regulatory commitments.
  • Manages own time to meet defined objectives.
  • May direct and/or review outputs of contractors or supporting staff, as required, for project support activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree is required, BS in Engineering is preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry required; prior Engineering, Operations, Quality or Validation assignments preferred.
  • Experience authoring, review, and executing projects are required.
  • Experience developing project plans in a GMP aseptic facility is preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and ability to work with cross functional teams is required.
