Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Production Customer Service Center (PCSC) Manager to join our team in Wichita. In this role, you will be responsible for developing master production schedules which meet business requirements and business plans by optimizing Commercial requirements with Manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
•Develop plant production schedules using integrated capacity planning to analyze the proposed schedules/forecasts from Logistics.
Plan daily builds and schedules workflow for product line operations according to previously established production sequences and lead times.
•Review proposed schedule changes and recommend acceptance, rejection, or develop integrated alternative schedules consistent with business plans, commercial business requirements, plant capabilities, cost, staffing constraints and manufacturing business requirements.
•Analyzes production specifications and capacity data, and performs mathematical calculations to determine production processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
•Develop, recommend, implement and maintain the tools and techniques necessary to analyze the impact of proposed schedule changes on plant (macro) and machine (micro) load.
•Develop intimate knowledge and remain current on plant status and capabilities.
•Work closely with designated North American Central Contacts: Industrial Logistics, Production Planning & Control, and Manufacturing personnel on issues involving scheduling/production problems.
•Review interim proposals for changes to firm schedules and evaluate/recommend approval or disapproval in line with business impact.
•Assist in the development and recommendation of strategies to improve Manufacturing’s ability to react and/or accommodate schedule changes with minimum disruption and loss of efficiency.
•Establish, monitor and recommend adjustment to firm periods as capabilities or capacity change.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Production Management, Engineering, or other technical discipline
•3+ years of experience in production, capacity planning and development of production schedules with a production control “system” background in MRP/JIT environment is required

The ideal candidate will have:
•5+ years of experience in production, capacity planning and development of production schedules is preferred
•Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across various groups and levels of management
•Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
•Master’s Degree a plus
•Ability to create and analyze proposals using simulations
•World Class Manufacturing/Lean Manufacturing/continuous improvement experience
•Process-oriented background with ability to understand business strategy needs and address issues in a logical and systematic manner
