Production Utility is responsible for performing all facets of all positions within a specific department. Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and within the quality and food safety parameters established. This position requires problem solving responsibilities.
•Covers positions in absences. Entails setting up line and equipment
•Follows product specification sheet for instructions
•Accurately fills out all required Food Safety, Quality paperwork and DCS checks
•Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead

•Knowledge and experience in Meat Industry is preferred, but not required
•Must possess problem solving skills and leadership qualities
•Competent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies.
•Maintain regular and predictable attendance
•Be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime, depending upon production demands.
•Ability to learn multiple positions
•Must meet performance expectations for the position being covered
•Must be mechanically inclined
•Must have Mathematic Skills
•Must be able to operate a motortruck and/or forklift
•Must be able to lockout/tag out equipment
•Must have the ability to use computerized equipment
•Being able to understand and follow oral and written instruction

•Continuous standing in one location for long periods (up to 2-3 hours before break)

•Lifting and lowering objects up to 60 lbs

•A variety of arm and hand movements are required in applying force, movement and repetition
