+ Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspection and measurement to tolerances ensuring conformance to customer and company specifications

+ Work from piece prints and blue prints

+ Audit production machines daily to verify presence and correctness of all documentation, set-up parts labeling, carton labeling, gages, prints, and Micromain

+ Inspect finished or in-process fabricated or mechanical parts, equipment, and assemblies to determine acceptance or rejection

+ Determine disposition and capability of finished product by collecting, classifying, analyzing, and interpreting production and quality data and judging product acceptability in comparison to specifications

+ Participate in inter-departmental communications

+ Conform to all quality and safety requirements and procedures

+ Perform other duties as requested or assigned

+ Conform with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system

+ Participates actively in the requirement to retain ISO/TS16949/ISO14001 certification


+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

+ Understand statistical process control (SPC)

+ Read and understand blue prints and piece prints

+ Understand and use a variety of measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, thread gages, etc.)

+ Basic math proficiency

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to receive oral and written instruction and relay quality issues to others

+ One year related experience in quality assurance in an ISO/TS16949 manufacturing environment
