Job Description:

Do you have a DevOps mindset? Then we might have an opportunity for you. Cerner’s Corporate Service Operations team in CTS is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to help us achieve our Cyber Security Strategy by automating and implementing unique and sustainable solutions within the federal environment. You will oversee engineering teams and own accountability for the design and code quality of components, applications, solutions and systems.

As a Manager of Engineering you will develop long-term technical roadmaps and implement processes to automate the necessary security controls. In addition, you will be responsible for developing solutions which improve the security posture of all servers within the federal enclave. You will create a technical vision and strategy for the organization that aligns with Cerner’s business objectives. Along with creating technical visions for CTS, you will?develop associates through coaching performance, completing performance reviews, goal setting and development planning.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

+ At least 5 years of software engineering work experience

+ At least 2 years of people management work experience

+ Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position

+ Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with provisioning, patch management and STIG management

+ Chef, Ruby and Ansible experience

Expectations

+ Must be residing in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metro area

+ Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

+ Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
