Job Description


                   Cooked and Marinate Supervisor

Reports to: Cooked and Marinate Manager           Department:  Cooked and Marinate
Classification:  Non-Exempt       Date Approved: 12/1/17


Responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.


  1. Provide leadership and operational direction to the cooked and marinate associates.

  2. Responsible for production, preparation, and packaging of all cooked and marinate products.

  3. Ensure that all processing activities are in conformance with product specifications. 

  4. Balances quality, productivity, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas. 

  5. Conducts inspections, constantly monitors work area for cleanliness and ensures that product contamination is kept to a minimum. 

  6. Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions.

  7. Assures that all employees follow company policies, procedures and established work instructions. 

  8. Manage and maintain all production areas: bone extrusion, grinding, case ready fresh and frozen patty, loaf, and chub forming, and packaging.
  9. Safety equipment development.
  10. Customer service as needed.
  11. Additional job duties as necessary.



  1. Prior supervisory experience and leadership skills in a food manufacturing environment. Beef plant experience and bilingual Spanish and English preferred. 

  2. Experience working with a diverse group of people. 

  3. Ability to maintain high expectations for self and others, demonstrating a dedication to achievement of results. 

  4. Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment 

  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  6. Solid problem solving, project management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills. 

  7. Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful. 

  8. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
