About This Role:
The KSCAC Coordinator will assist the Director in adviser recruitment, adviser training, data collection, program resources, and event planning. The Coordinator is expected to have in-person office hours on a weekly basis for trainings, team meetings, and committee projects. In partnership with the College Advising Corps (CAC) and Kansas City Scholars, the Coordinator will help manage the expectations and outcomes, specific to the grant, supplementing the work to increase the number of high-achieving, low-and-moderate income students who apply to, matriculate, and graduate from college.

KSCAC hires recent college graduates to serve as college advisers full-time in select high schools in either Wyandotte or Johnson counties. The college adviser assists by providing guidance and encouragement needed for the students to navigate the college admissions and financial aid processes.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Requires a high school diploma and two years of relevant experience.
Excellent organizational skills. To include: scheduling meetings, planning and developing workshops, planning & facilitating campus tours, etc.
Excellent computer and writing skills. To include: writing emails, developing and disseminating correspondence, materials, & publications; developing and utilizing a college advising website and/or social media site; etc.
Experience in planning, implementing and evaluating programs.

Exceptional, demonstrated record of outreach programming and leadership skills.

Experience working with low-income, first-generation college and underrepresented communities.

$17.9856 – $18.7981 per hour
($18,705-$19,550 annually at 50% FTE)
