Job Summary:

Full time or part time internships available\.

Located in Wichita, KS, candidates will assist with providing materials and processes input, and conducting producibility and bottom\-up cost analyses of new aircraft designs\. This may include opportunities to work with commercial finite element and cost estimation software; study aircraft materials/processes in a production environment, and participate in new product design discussions\.

Job Responsibilities \(may include, but not limited to\):

+ Interact with design, manufacturing and tooling personnel on new and sustaining programs

+ Analyze sheet metal and monolithic designs to ascertain producibility

+ Utilize CAD tools such as CATIA V5/V6 to study/question detail models to provide manufacturability feedback

+ Develop bottom\-up cost estimates for details/assemblies for should costing and design cost trades

+ Utilize commercial FEA software \(Altair Hypermesh/ LSDYNA/ Advantedge\) to conduct producibility analyses

+ Assist during shop trials for new and existing designs

+ Analyze, archive, and present results in written reports

Qualifications

Education:

+ Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in:

- Industrial Engineering

- Materials Science / Engineering

- Mechanical Engineering
