Project Manager

Permanent position: A product design and development firm in Kansas City, KS area is seeking a Senior Project Manager to add to their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Solidworks and previous experience in medical device or design of plastic parts for injection molding as well as Project Management experience. Salary up to 125K, commensurate with experience. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities for the Project Manager

+ Establish project strategy, resources and schedules

+ Mentor and train other group members

+ Manage product development and costs

+ Work in conjunction with Account Managers to determine costs for ordering parts and maintain the project schedule as well as communicating significant changes with project documentation.

+ Lead costing effort and quoting activities of new business

Requirements for the Project Manager

+ B.S. in Engineering

+ Project Management skills

+ Ability to work independently and in a team

+ Previous experience designing parts for plastic injection molding or med device a plus but not required

+ Knowledge of engineering product development

+ Experience with electro-mechanical systems design preferred

+ Ability to obtain passport for 10% travel

+ Experience designing medical device products is highly preferred
