Job Description

The Plant HR Training & People Development Rep will act as a business partner to management and provide support to all levels of the facility. The position requires a strong foundation of training & development, a desire to build solid working relationships, and a passion to learn the business in order to contribute to the HR elements of business strategies. This position will participate and support our Lean philosophy of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) through training and involvement in continuous improvement activities; act as a process owner for the People Development Pillar of our World Class Manufacturing Initiative; identify process improvements, assist in the identification and implementation of solutions for problems that occur, and spend time working with others on the factory floor to understand processes.

Responsibilities include:

Designs and conducts (or assists in conducting) training in areas such as WCM and people development
Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements
Works closely with Operational and Functional Teams to identify process bottlenecks, conducts root cause analysis and implements process improvements across the business or organization
Drives productivity and process improvement projects aligned with business initiatives
Coaches project teams to fulfill certification requirements, quality and process improvement objectives
Initiates and leads projects that improve end-to-end processes: setup, validation, and audit measurement systems to deliver business impact
Assists line management in implementing established human resources policies, procedures, and practices to meet requirements supporting short and long-term business needs
Manages administration and implementation of recruitment, recognition plans, safety, health and security programs, and employee training and development
Creates and delivers presentations to stakeholders and site leadership

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required (Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field preferred)
6+ years of applicable experience – to include experience within a manufacturing setting
2+ years training experience within a manufacturing setting
The preferred candidate will have:
Experience in the tracking of organizational metrics (absenteeism, training effectiveness, etc)
Demonstrated needs analysis and skill development experience
Experience working in a Lean, TPS (Toyota Production System) or World Class Manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to lead small project teams in continuous improvement
Experience leading people – either directly, indirectly or by way of project teams
Advanced Excel skills
