Job Description

Barton Community College is seeking applications for a Dean of Workforce Training & Community Education. The Dean is responsible for leading the College’s career technical division. The division serves to provide credit and non-credit programs, early college opportunities for high school students, education and training for inmates, business & industry training and adult education. This is a full-time, 12-month replacement position with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications: Master’s degree (or specialized certification with a minimum of one year of coursework beyond a Bachelor’s degree) and 5-10 years of successful similar or related experience. The College is looking for applicants with exceptional leadership and management abilities; supervisory skills, an innovative spirit, experience in program design, marketing experience, student assessment knowledge, partnership abilities and budget management skills. Experience with community college operations is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to influence and motivate others, demonstrate diplomacy, facilitate teams, display excellent oral and written communications and problem solve through critical thinking. Mentoring available.
