As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Software Engineer in our Beverage Maker Products business located in Lenexa, KS.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs software development and system integration functions related to embedded systems product applications. Develops, implements and maintains embedded software throughout the product life cycle. Communicates with internal and external customers and suppliers to define requirements and review deliverables.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Performs tasks in design, development and implementation of software applications by following general guidelines. Analyzes and investigates engineering project tasks, defines specifications and parameters, develops programs, and resolves any design considerations. Analyzes any requirements and structures and the like.

+ Applies systems solutions to business problems through the design and programming of automated systems. Works in a team environment on the maintenance of in-place programs; under direction, and from detailed specifications, works on elements of large, complex installations.

+ Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates computer programs for embedded systems used in end item products.

+ Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs.

+ Leads local and international teams to develop solutions to complex engineering problems. Defines statement of work for domestic and international suppliers to develop software life cycle data per system requirements. Is the point of contact for international software team members.

+ Performs all programming and system design assignments without close supervision.

+ Regularly interacts with internal customers and interdisciplinary teams to define and meet requirements.

+ Develops and maintains software processes and documentation to achieve airworthiness certification of software products per industry and customer requirements.Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical science (such as Physics or Statistics) from a 4 year university.

+ Three (3) years of relevant engineering or technical experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Aerospace Industry Experience

+ Experience in

+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally

+ Three (3) years of experience interfacing with customers

+ Excellent written and verbal skills
