Job Description


Finance Manager provides support and leadership with month-end-close activities, budgeting, forecasting, actual spend reporting, fixed asset management, and day-to-day accuracy of financial records. The role requires an individual who is capable of driving efficiency through continuous improvement of operational and financial processes, while working in a complex, matrix environment and managing competing priorities. The scope includes financial support of an operating expense and capital budget and requires the ability to interact with all levels of site and above site colleagues to achieve the necessary business results in a transparent and ethical manner.


+ Perform monthly close processes: journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis

+ GMX – (standard cost/transfer price system)

+ Lead annual material and overhead standard cost updates Collaborate to define and stablish standard manufacturing cost related variances

+ Perform inventory analysis and calculate monthly inventory reserves

+ Perform budget vs. actual analysis reviews with various levels of management

+ Own budget preparation and budget vs. actual P&L files

+ Calculates Overhead and Labor Rates

+ Co-lead the Budget and Standard Cost Setting Yearly Process

+ Own limited aspects of corporate submissions and financial reporting to Corporate

+ Partner with cross-functional business counterparts to develop annual business plans and analyze year-to-date performance and historical trends

+ Collaborate with responsible parties to develop action plans to close any identified gaps

+ Make financial updates in accordance Pfizer policies

+ Handle inter-company transactions with affiliate companies

+ Manage SOX control documentation and participate in SOX testing and audit activities as needed

+ Responsible for leading/developing staff


+ A Bachelor’s degree is required

+ A minimum of 6 years of successful work experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, reporting, or planning is required

+ ERP experience is required

+ Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required; including the ability to create and use complex models

+ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously is required


+ An undergraduate major in Accounting or Finance is preferred

+ SAP experience is preferred

+ Experience with internal controls is preferred

+ CPA, CMA, or advanced degree is preferred


+ Colleagues must be highly organized, proactive, and passionate about the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with a broad range of responsibilities


Role is a standard M-F work schedule, but does support 24×7 manufacturing operations. Occasional non standard work activity could be necessary for limited activities.
