TheJr.DBAis responsible for:

+ Working with the LINUX/DBD/Application administration teams to provide day-to-day, and on-call first level support for AIM’s MongoDB servers.

+ Monitoring and maintenance of successful backups for MongoDB servers.

+ Assisting Sr. DBA’s on creating documentation of activities, system changes, procedures, policies and standards for the MongoDB architecture.

+ Providing direct support to DBD and Application teams.

+ Assisting Sr. DBA’s to develop custom scripts to automate MongoDB management.

Requires BA/BS degree in computer science/information management; 3+ years experience in information systems and 1 year experience in data administration or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

The successful candidate will have:

+ BA/BS degree.

+ 1+ years of MongoDB DBA/ SQL Server DBA experience

+ Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

+ Basic knowledge of MongoDB DBA performance & tuning, security, and diagnostic tools.

+ Experience creating, maintaining, and deployingMongoDB servers preferred.

+ Basic knowledge about Security standards and technologies for MongoDB preferred.

+ Good communication and documentation skills.

+ Skills for troubleshooting, MongoDB server configuration/installation and Java scripting preferred.

+ Basic experience with shell scripting.

Desirable Skills:

+ Experience with BMC Remedy.

+ Experience with OPS Manager.

+ Experience with Studio 3T.

+ Experience with Amazon Web Services.

+ Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment while interfacing with multiple internal clients.

+ Exposure to SAP ASE and/or MS SQL Server.
