CertificationEngineers in the Domestic Certification Department are an integral part ofcross\-functional Engineering teams, helping to develop, maintain and assurecompliance with certification plans and helping to identify and resolve typecertification issues\.They review typecertification documents and approval forms for completeness and accuracy\.They also support the planning, execution,and recording of type cert board, tech briefing and cert issue resolutionmeetings and are expected to initiate, drive and implement process definitionand improvement\.
99. Workwith ODA \(Organization Designation Authorization\) Project Administrators, ODAUnit Members and Project Management to establish and maintain certificationplans and to identify and resolve certification issues\.
99. SupportODA Project Administrators in planning, executing, and recording typecertification board meetings, FAA tech briefings and certification issueresolution meetings\.
99. Reviewcertification documents and associated approval forms to assure accuracy andprocedural compliance with FAA accepted certification plans\.
99. Identifycertification process improvement opportunities and develop solutions tocapitalize on those opportunities\.
99. Auditcertification projects
+ Bachelor’s Degree in aScience, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field is required\.
+ Strong sense of accountability and integrity
+ Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects
+ Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office programs
+ Experience in ENOVIA is preferred
+ Desire to acquire and share knowledge and understanding
+ Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
+ Diplomatic and professional demeanor
+ Ability to work with high level technical and management personnel
+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills
+ Basic aircraft knowledge
+ Knowledge of Textron Aviation Engineering procedures
+ Knowledge of ODA procedures and FAA procedural requirements and guidance is preferred\.
+ Knowledge of 14CFR23, 25, & 35 regulations
+ Exposure to Engineering certification documents is preferred\.
+ Rare travel may be required\.
