Avionics & Electrical Systems Engineer

Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible forproviding engineering design support to Textron Aviation product engineeringteam for in production and fielded aircraft models\. Manage small to largescale certification projects with responsibilities to include establishingsystems design requirements, developing and presenting systems architectureconcepts, completing systems design, testing, troubleshooting, and obtainingcertification for the project\.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

99. Prepareengineering drawings for avionics and electrical system interface wiring usingcomputer based drafting tools \(IAI HarnesSYS and/or CATIA/CCD\)

99. Performanalysis requiring frequent application of engineering principles

99. Willutilize electronic test equipment to verify avionics and electrical systemsmeet design requirements and/or for system troubleshooting

99. Willwrite technical descriptions of subject matter pertinent to design or testrequirements\. \(Descriptions of supplier parts, test or rigging specifications,etc\.\)

99. Preparefunctional test documents for avionics and electrical systems

99. Preparecertification documentation including certification plans, ground and flighttest plans and certification reports showing avionics and electrical systemscompliance with 14 CFR Part 23/25

99. Willevaluate and analyze avionics and electrical system design for completion offunction hazard assessments and system safety assessments

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

+ Bachelor’sDegree in:

- Electrical Engineering

- Computer Engineering

- Electrical Engineering Technology

- Other related Engineering field

QUALIFICATONS:

+ Experiencewith avionics and electrical system design

+ Electronicdrafting experience

+ Experiencewith CATIA V5 and VPM is preferred

+ Strongcomputer, written and verbal communication skills

+ Experiencewith use of electronic test equipment

+ Timemanagement skills are required to work multiple concurrent projects of varioussize and scope

+ Experiencewith Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint are required, Access and Projectexperience is desired
