Job Description

Summary: The Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring that company owned/leased delivery vehicles are properly assigned, routed and tracked by completing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include, but may not be limited to the following:

•Coordinates schedules of outbound, inbound and relocation
•Establishes service or delivery routes.
•Dispatch and communicates with drivers
•Coordinates communications for transportation department from internal and external customers including dealerships, customers, transport brokers, vendors, and manufacturers.
•Communication with logistics on accurate inventory information
•Prepares bills of lading and secures permits.
•Promote and hold others accountable for a safe working environment.
•Observe safety and security procedures.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. •3+ years of transportation dispatch experience
•3+ years of experience with DOT, IFTA and IRP record-keeping/compliance including trip logs, fuel receipts, vehicle repair and maintenance requirements.
•Intermediate computer skills: MS Office with Access experience and accurate data input skills.
•Able to read maps, and knowledge of state regulations for over-sized loads
•Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
•3-5 years in a Customer Service related position.
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
