Job Description

The incumbent provides Vietnamese translation services, both verbally and in writing, to all employees of Dold Foods.

1. Coaches and trains new/existing employees in the Vietnamese Language (50%)

  • Under minimal supervision coaches and trains to insure comprehension of safety training, quality training and other training topics as needed. Assists with new employee orientation.
  • Assists in job and equipment training of new hires/job bid winners with minimal supervision.

 2. Works with Supervisors and Superintendents (40%)

  • Incumbent will use their expertise to ensure conformance to productivity standards, standard yields, safe work procedures, HAACP, quality requirements, and food safety.
  • Monitor employee line time as well as their offline time. Understand how productivity is calculated and achieved. Focus on areas than can improve line performance which includes assisting with line set-up and change overs. Know the proper line speeds and have an above average knowledge of the equipment used in the production area.
  • Monitor line sanitation throughout the shift. Ensure employees are following proper PPE procedures, sanitizing equipment regularly, working safely and following job procedures and requirements.
  • Assists in all areas of Quality Management. Performs direct observations of metal detection and all label verification. Perform direct observations of tool accountability and blade checks. Makes sure steps are taken by working with QC and observing the process so product meets specifications. Conducts quarterly training of metal detection, smokehouse operating and label verification.
  • Able to complete documentation currently completed by supervisors.

 3. Performs other duties as assigned by management (10%)

  • Conducts safety checks daily and performs monthly safety assessments with supervision to ensure that the plant is a safe environment for all employees.
  • Assists in monitoring set-ups and teardowns, and yield projects.

 WORKING CONDITIONS (Office Hourly Positions Only): Identify any working conditions that deviate from those found in a normal office setting. This includes physical effort, work environment, and exposure to hazards.

 Works in a production setting in a refrigerated work area. Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent and repetitive basis. Wears applicable personal protective equipment (hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, etc.)
