The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. In collaboration with the site leadership team and HR leadership, this position carries out responsibilities related to benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel
Participate in developing department goals, objectives and processes
Administer the compensation program
Monitors the performance evaluation processes
Assist with benefits administration tasks including communicating changes to payroll department, participating in open enrollment activities, and assisting employees with resolving benefits issues
Conform to EEO regulations.
Conduct recruitment effort for all positions
Conduct new employee orientations
Collaborate with site leadership team to address and resolve employee relations matters
Conduct exit interviews
Participate in site safety team activities
Participate in staff meetings
Attend other meetings and seminars
Support and participate in continuous improvement projects
Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
Plan and conduct employee morale events
Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
Accept and adapt easily to change
Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and/or SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
2+ years of experience in Human Resources
Well-developed communication, consultation, business ethics, and relationship management skills required
Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions
Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, and perform work independently without being prompted
Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and work within deadlines
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
Sense of urgency
Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines
