General Laborer – Manufacturing

Description

This position supports the activities and responsibilities of Custom Cupboards’ Manufacturing Supervisor

.

Job Duties:

  • Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.

  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.

  • Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operators of any malfunctions.

  • Lift raw materials, finished products and packed items, manually or using hoists.

  • Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.

  • Mark or tag identification on parts.

  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyers and conveyances.

  • Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.

  • Record information, such as the number of products tested or dates and times of product production

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic reading and writing skills.

  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective safety operations.

Job Qualifications and Education

  • Previous work-related skill, knowledge and experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated skills in organization, planning, prioritization and time management.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete on a timely basis.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Able to walk up stairs.  Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.  Employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally; inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.  Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and push 50 to 60 pound on a cart.
