1. Provides to inpatients assigned to him/her including performing a history and physical examination, writing a treatment plan, and keeping progress notes covering diagnostic evaluation, progress, and discharge.2. Completes narrative summaries and other documents required for adequate follow up.3. Performs orthopedic surgery and post operative care.4. Cares for patients in the medical office including a diagnostic evaluation, treatment plan, and insures proper follow up.5. Consults, as requested, on patients in emergency room, ambulatory clinics or hospital. 6. Assists in coordination of outpatient care, including home care services, as needed.7. Participates in SBA Medical Group functions.8. Attends to needed information for billing, coding and reimbursement.9. Performs other duties as assigned.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION: QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Education: Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with a Doctor of Medicine Degree and successful completion of an internship and general orthopedic surgery residency at a recognized instruction. Experience: Two to five years surgical experience. Certification/Licensure: Board certified or board eligible in orthopedics. Licensed to practice in the State of Kansas. Code Blue Training: BCLS
II. JOB DESCRIPTION: PHYSICAL DEMANDS May require standing for periods of up to 3 to 5 hours. May require frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and grasping. Requires lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs. May also require pushing or pulling up to 35 lbs. Job requires full range of body motion, with occasional twisting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and reaching. Job may require reaching overhead. Job requires ability to handle and lift patients. Eye-hand coordination, and finger and manual dexterity are required. Requires corrected hearing and vision to a normal range. Job requires working under stressful conditions and/or irregular hours. Some exposure to communicable diseases, sharps, and hazardous material is anticipated. Job requires potential exposure to body fluids and radiation. Requires the ability to distinguish letters and symbols. Use of office equipment such as fax machines, copying machines and intercom may be required. Repetitive movements such as writing are required. Computer and telephone proficiency is required.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION: WORKING CONDITIONS General busy clinical environment, including office, operating room and hospital inpatient floors.
